Haley Bonar will return in August with her sophomore record Impossible Dream, the follow-up to 2014’s The Last War. This week she’s unveiled lead single ‘I Can Change’, a breezy number which on the surface sounds ideal for spring, although there are more serious undertones. According to Bonar, the song is about “addiction, sexuality and coming to terms with the true form of the self by questioning the existence of one’s shame”.
Bonar has also announced she will be in tour in the UK later in the year, with the dates below.
21 October – Brighton, Green Door Store
22 October – Gateshead, The Sage (with Field Music)
23 October – Glasgow, The Hug & Pint
24 October – Leeds, Brudenell Social Club
27 October – London, Moth Club
28 October – Bristol, The Louisiana
29 October – Manchester, The Ritz (with Field Music)
