I’ve never understood the point of static caravans – a total contradiction in terms as far as I can make out. After all, if a caravan can’t move, doesn’t that eliminate its sole selling point? But Johnny Lynch seems to have found a good use for one, running his label Lost Map out of one such oversized sardine tin on the isle of Eigg in Scotland. And when he’s not doing that, he’s recording under the name The Pictish Trail. He’s recently put out Secret Soundz Vol.2, and the latest single ‘Long In The Tooth’ shows off both his lush tunes and his taste for electro-pop in one fell swoop.
