In certain quarters (at least one of which is tucked away inside FFS Towers) Neil Young has near godlike status, so covering one of his tracks could be considered a risky strategy. With this version of ‘Heart Of Gold’, which will be the B side to their upcoming single ‘Starless’, Leeds-based duo The Horn The Hunt have really come up trumps. It’s distant and brooding but at the same time gutsy and grungy. THTH’s Clare explains: “He’s an artist for nomads, but the kind of nomads who can’t quite stop caring about their land to leave it completely. This song embodies that sense of wanting to find good and make good when deep down you’re a bit of a weary loner.”
