In reviewing Anthony D’Amato’s last two records on FFS, we used lots of phrases about him remaining a secret no longer, about his inevitably winning over a legion of fans any day now. That day is still to come, but it has moved a significant step closer with his signing to New West Records, where he becomes a labelmate of the likes of Steve Earle, Kris Kristofferson, and Patty Griffin (we’ve always enjoyed a bit of name-dropping when talking about Anthony). His first album for the label is due in the summer, but for now, he’s offering us a new track ‘Ludlow’, recorded with Jocie Adams of The Low Anthem. Enjoy.
