If you listen to good radio* you’re likely already familiar with Nick Mulvey’s ‘Fever To The Form’. He’s had plenty of support, notably from Gilles Peterson, and has even made the dizzy heights of the playlist. He has serious pedigree, including a Mercury nomination from his time with the Portico Quartet, a period spent studying music in Cuba and a degree in ethnomusicology from the School of Oriental and African Studies. You may or may not pick up all these various world and jazz influences in ‘Fever To The Form’, which is out today, but what you will definitely get from it is a whole lot of loveliness.
