Shot amid industry and decay against background of blue skies and water, this video – which unbelievably is Hannah Peel’s first – is a perfect visualisation of the tensions that are more prevalent than ever in her music. Peel has always relished mixing the traditional and the modern, the natural and the artificial – and ‘Harbour’, taken from her new three-track Nailhouse EP, released this week, takes that to a new level. Perhaps influence by her work with the Magnetic North, the wonderfully brooding track takes Peel into darker, moodier territory and shows an artist who is never content to stand still.
