Dry The River are set to make a triumphant return in the shape of new album Alarms in the Heart that’s set for release on August 14th and a new video for Gethsemane, a powerful and attention grabbing single that’s a step up in diversity but true to the form of 2012’s Shallow Bed.The band are set to unleash this new material at a series of festival appearances this summer including next week’s Glastonbury Festival – where they will play the John Peel and Avalon stages – and the main stage at Reading and Leeds in August before heading off on their own UK tour in October.
The ten track Alarms in the Heart was produced by Charlie Hugall (Florence and The Machine, Ed Sheeran), Paul Savage (Mogwai, Franz Ferdinand) and Peter Miles (We Are The Ocean, Futures, The King Blues) and includes arrangements and strings from Valgeir Sigurðsson (Sigur Rós, Björk). The Delgados’ Emma Pollock also adds guest vocals to Roman Candle.
