We’ve already brought you the juice – now here’s the gin.
We loved ‘Orange Juice‘, the recent single from Stanley Brinks and the Wave Pictures, so we couldn’t be happier to be premiering their new album Gin.
So rich is the seam of material Brinks and co have available to them that ‘Orange Juice’ doesn’t even make an appearance – but there’s plenty of other material here which is every bit as smart, strange and engaging.
We particularly love the delightfully simple ‘Max In The Elevator’, bluesy opener ‘One Minute Of Darkness’ and ‘No Goodbyes’ in which Brinks sings “we are going to have heaps of fun” but doesn’t really sound like he means it.
Gin is out next Monday, while the band are also heading out on tour in support of the release.
