An interview with Laura Marling was broadcast on America’s NPR radio this week.
Laura performs a cover of Mumford and Sons’ Roll Away Your Stone, as well as her own songs Rambling Man, My Manic and I and Your Only Doll (Dora).
She tells interviewer David Dye that hearing the honesty of Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy ‘booted her into the real world’. And says of songwriting: “The vulnerability is the brilliance of it. I feel vulnerable pretty much all the time, and therefore terrified, and therefore always on edge, which is no bad thing actually.”
