Americana Heavyweights Mark Olson and Gary Louris have put their differences aside and returned with their first collaborative set since The Jayhawks’ essential 1995 LP Tomorrow the Green Grass.
While the two had previously tugged in opposite directions towards country on one hand and rock on the other, it seems that a decision has been reached to sit quite rightly and comfortably on the fence. Advance tracks from their album Ready for the Flood (released October 6th) suggest that the formula was never broken and attempts by both parties to fix it were superfluous.
The pair make a fleeting visit to the UK at the end of November, playing in Glasgow, London and Manchester. You would be foolish to miss them.
