Firefly Burning will return with their third studio album Breathe Shallow on May 31, and you’re going to want to circle the date. Working with famed producer Tim Friese-Greene, best known for his work with Talk Talk, the London collective have filled out their avant-folk sound with striking results on a record which meditates on love and loss. On ‘Call To Me’, Bea Hankey’s stunning vocals soar over competing rhythms and beautifully balanced instrumentation. Here we bring you a first look at the accompanying video, filmed by Fred MacGregor at RSPB Rainham Marshes Nature Reserve just east of London. Read on too for details of upcoming gigs 24 hours before they are announced elsewhere.
