Having approached his second album Upwards of Summer as though it would be his last, Ralegh Long has found a new lease of life. He is currently embarked on a series of standalone singles, and the latest instalment is the beautiful and intimate ‘Super Blue Moon’, which matches double-tracked vocals to Long’s delicate guitar playing and strings from Harpal Mudhar. The track was written, recorded and produced by Long and, adding to the homespun feel, he now brings us a video recorded on VHS in low light. You’re left to try to pick out the shapes amid the haze of Long’s home, adding to the eerie mood of the song.
