The first thing that strikes you is Sam Jordan’s incredible voice. We could waste time comparing his rich baritone with some other outstanding crooners, but we’re wagering that if we wait a little while he’ll become a reference point himself. The qualities of Sam Jordan & The Dead Boys’ music don’t stop there. There’s a wealth of emotion in his songs, and while we’ve only heard a few at this early stage in their career, there’s enough to suggest his working from a deep well. ‘Sister’ is taken from their When Golden Morning Comes, their debut EP which is due on May 6. If you can’t wait that long to hear a little more, pop along to the Shacklewell Arms on April 13th to catch them live.
