A full length album from Elvis Depressedly – entitled New Alhambra – is to be released in the UK on June 8th on Run for Cover Records.
The album, following on from 2013’s Holo Pleasures, is said to carry on the band’s distinctive brand of low-fi, guitar pop, although with a rockier twist than their previous releases. New Alhambra airs an encompassing reflection of life in the duo’s home of South Carolina, as well as a blunt view of the world as they see it.
Ahead of the album’s release, the band have released a final taster track, ‘Wastes of Time’, which you can listen to below.
The video for their latest single, ‘Thou Shall Not Murder’, also taken from New Alhambra, has also been released:
So far, the only live appearances from Elvis Depressedly that have been announced are in the USA, so we’ll have to sit tight to see if the band make it over to the UK this year.
