It is enough, actually, say Canadian four-piece Barr Brothers. Over a dreamily ululating bed of marimba, dulcimer, harp and banjo, ‘Love Ain’t Enough’ lets go of cynicism to see love under every sofa and around every corner:
“Once you strip the paint you find it everywhere you go. Even I should know,” intones Andrew Barr over the soft, progressive melody. I’d say he was pretty much spot on.
The Barr Brothers are on tour in the UK and Ireland in October:
14th October – The Lexington, London
23rd October – The Castle, Manchester
24th October – Whelan’s, Dublin
25th October – Beach House, Bangor
26th October – Sligo Live Festival, Ireland
28th October – Voodoo Rooms, Edinburgh
29th October – The Hare & Hounds, Birmingham
